Kaiser-Frazier - 1946

  • The Willow Run bomber plant was sold to Kaiser Frazier in 1946.

  • In 1951, Frazier´s last year, only 131 Frazer Manhattan Convertibles were produced. For 1952, the Manhattan name was transferred to the Kaiser line.

  • In 1952 Kaiser-Frazer brought the manufacture of airplanes back to Willow Run with the C-119 cargo plane called “The Flying Boxcar.”

  • The Kaiser automobile was manufactured in the plant until 1953.
